I’m Only Human

          I’m Only Human

I’m only human
Not a saint
I am the everlasting friend,
But not divine, magical, or prestigious in anyway.
While I seem to be a prodigy
My nature and my purpose are rooted within the middle class.
And my soul is natural.

I’m only human
And I’m looking for the one
Who will stand by me through the storm.
Whether it be brewed in the hottest fires, or in the swiftest waters.

I’m only human
Though I’m compared to angels
I never discriminate against different races, cultures, or the times.
And I charismatically resemble the son.
I’m only a being, that which is human.

I’m only human
Not a saint
And I’m looking for the one.
While I charismatically resemble the son,
My soul is natural, and I am natural.

I’m only human!
